Summer Collection 2025: In Collaboration With Nature
Mimi Seton spent much of her childhood in a progressive boarding school on an organic farm in the Adirondack mountains. It was living in that self-sufficient community with visionary educators that nurtured her life-long love of Nature.
Her art includes -
1) Abstract paintings and mixed media pieces that celebrate the pure joy of color, line, form and texture, usually with titles that give the viewer a context for interpretation
2) Renderings of God and Goddesses, mostly from the Hindu pantheon
3) Portraits of women, often critiquing our social realities and psychological entanglements
4) Candid black and white photos with an emphasis on strong mood and emotion; colored photos of architecture
5) “Photo paintings” of natural forms such as the images in this collection.
